An American Classical Mahogany Secretary

Two piece secretary with straight cornice above two gothic glazed doors opening to reveal two interior shelves over six compartments four having drawers and two open, above a fall front writing surface, the projecting lower section with three dovetailed drawers raised on turned legs. 67.5" H x 40 W x 10" D (top section) 18.25" D (Bottom section) Circa late 18th early 19th century. Area of wood separation to lower left side of bottom section. Provenance: property of a Massachusetts family since the early 19th century.
