Rich and vibrant oil painting on panel by Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel (French 1839-1929) depicting cavalier with silver presentation cup made from a nautilus, standard bearer and trumpeter announcing him, signed lower left A.A. Lesrel, 17" W x 23" H sight, 30" x 34.5" framed, mounted in fabulous gilt and gesso frame, stress crack in top left corner, with leaf and floral bas relief decoration 4" Deep and overhanging display light, circa 1900, minor scuffing to left edge by frame lining, back is beautifully cradled, otherwise in excellent condition. Private collection Oxford, MI.
