Painted to depict a dock scene with three men, during the height of the industrial revolution, signed and dated lower right 1891. Percy Ives (1864 - 1928) was a michigan artist known for his portraits, mounted in a fabulous art nouveau frame probably original to the piece, 52"H x 40"W, sight, and we believe the best work of his to come to market.
