Rare Mother and child. "Denise Holding Her Child," (Breeskin 205) . Drypoint, circa 1905, on laid paper, Breeskin's first state of two, with margins P.8" H x 5.75" W (203 x 146mm.) An extremely fine and rare original lifetime work, the 1st image of 2, from the etched copper plate by the artist. The etched plate was destroyed thereafter to assure other images were not printed. The second image sold (Lot 2370) at Christie's during the Interiors Auction on Dec. 16-17, 2010, and realized $3,250.00,. The preceding was quoted from accompanying letter from Old Master Prints Christopher Mendez, London. 22.5" H x 19.25" W frame. Private collection Birmingham Mi.
