Exquisite Isfahan prayer rug having elegant small gold central medallion, framed by a wide main border of Shah Abbas patterns on navy field, animals such as deer, tigers, giraffes, peacocks, cats and squirrels on sand-colored ground with light blue tendrils, surrounded by a copper-colored band with fawns and palmettes followed by a narrow band of navy blue, firmly knotted on a foundation of silk (weft) , 100 knots per square inch, 3'1" X 7'4", circa 20th Century, excellent condition (hung on brass rod as wall hanging).
