19th CENTURY ATKINSON LANCASTER MANTLE CLOCK

Antique Atkinson Lancaster wooden mantle place chime clock clad with bronze. Stunning gilt bronze throughout. Four urn spires to each corner and center top with acorns. Laurel leaf design to base cladding. Clock is supported with beautiful scrolled bronze design to each corner with figural bear claw feet. Each side has lattice screen depicting people with floral scroll. Hinged wooden frame door to back has Cross matrix screen with locking key. Busts of females with rose garlands set to corners of front. Hinged handles to sides. Gold face with silver. Marked R. Atkinson Lancaster to front. Hinged glass screen door to front. 19th century. Measures 28" height x 17" width x 12" depth (71.1cm x 43.1cm x 30.4cm). Weighs approximately 55 pounds / 25 kilograms.
