Fine antique Chinese hand carved ivory elephant group figure depicting 13 men attempting to mount a large elephant via a ladder having terra form base. Fully relief carved throughout. 18th century. Holds six character calligraphy signature to bottom. Also holds old Association of the British antique dealers customs export mark to bottom. Measures 2 1/2" height x 2 1/2" width (6.3cm x 6.3cm). Total weight of 131 grams.
