A PARIS PORCELAIN POLYCHROME DECORATED LIDDED BOX, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, modeled as a stack of books with the rectangular lid detailed as curling leaves of paper above one upright end book having a stenciled scene of a barefoot youth and maiden amused by a group of goslings amidst a romantic landscape opposite another end book centering a red roof cottage and a meandering stream, scattered violets and gilt highlights throughout.
