A PAIR OF VINTAGE JAPANESE CARVED IVORY FIGURES OF MAIDENS AND A CHINESE IVORY IMMORTAL, 20TH CENTURY, possibly depicting Geisha women wearing upswept hairstyles centering diadems above serene expressions and long flowing robes enclosing polychrome ink incised circular mons and blossoming chrysanthemum stems, with one maiden holding a staff and ribbon-tied gift box while the other wears a waist tied cord suspending a lidded basket with tassels and holds a fan incised with a pavilion amidst a mountainous scene beneath birds in flight, reversing to an underside with square two character artist's signature, height: 8 3/4"; together with a seated carved ivory bearded figure of a Chinese immortal wearing long flowing robes and holding a pet bat, raised on a pierced hardwood stand. Height: 1 3/4" Width: 2 1/8"
