AN ANTIQUE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE VASE, EARLY REPUBLIC PERIOD, CIRCA 1920, of tapering slightly rectangular form with waisted neck, having a subtle "orange peel" surface, the finely executed reserves depicting elders and children on the two larger sides, each of which is detailed with extensive calligraphy and seal marks, with flowering trees decorating the two smaller sides; multi-character signature on the underside of the bases, indicating Jiang Xi province as where it was produced, the artisans previously working exclusively for the last Emporer of the Qing Dynasty, Xuantong, which is attested to by the quality of the potting, glaze, and exceptional decoration.
