AN ITALIAN NEOCLASSICAL PARCEL GILT AND PAINTED ARMCHAIR, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY, the rectangular back enclosing conforming reticulated splats of interlocking ovoid decoration centered by paterae flanked by paneled sinuous arms and curved supports with marguerites detailed blocks issuing branches above a trapezoidal padded seat and bow front paneled seat rail with a shallow relief flower filled basket raised on similarly carved tapering rectangular legs surmounted by wrapped capitals ending in foliate feet. Upholstered in neutral cord silk. Height: 35 1/4" Width: 22" Depth: 20 1/2"
