A CHINESE EXPORT GILT BRONZE MOUNTED MANDARIN BOWL, LATE 19TH CENTURY, the tapering circular bowl centering polychrome painted scenes of a Mandarin family in a walled terrace with a mountainous landscape in the distance, partitioned by diapered panels enclosing shaped circular reserves of birds and foliage within a reticulated styled rocaille cast rim flanked by scrolling acanthus handles surmounted by spread winged pheasants, raised on a circular fluted socle and pierced plinth of serpentine leaves and rocailles. Note: bowl repaired. Height: 12 1/2" Width: 17 3/4" Depth: 12 1/4"
