A GROUP OF THREE SATSUMA AND SATSUMA STYLE EARTHENWARES, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY comprising two Japanese Satsuma koros and covers, signed, one of tapering circular form with a canted shoulder centering ornately detailed diapered and floral shaped panels above sides of intricately detailed rectangular reserves depicting maidens in an interior setting, a nobleman and family on a pavilion terrace, the other enclosing maidens and youths in an outdoor setting surmounted by a reticulated domed lid of minutely painted diapered and floral shaped panels raised on tripod feet enclosing rectangular character marks, height: 3 3/4"; the other a spherical shaped koro centering traditionally painted shaped reserves of immortals, a nobleman and attendant, as well as Samurai swordsmen beneath a lappet panel shoulder flanked by arched handle centering a pierced domed lid of hearts amongst shaped diapered panels with a fruiting finial, raised on pyramidal feet, height: 4 1/8"; and a Satsuma style parcel gilt and polychrome painted charger, early 20th century, the circular shallow bowl centering a gathering of immortals wearing intricately detailed robes within borders of ornately enameled and gilt diapered panels alternating shaped reserves of auspicious birds, diameter: 14 3/4".
