A CONTINENTAL GOLD AND SILVER THREAD DETAILED AND POLYCHROME SILK WOVEN PANEL OF CHRIST, POSSIBLY ITALIAN, 20TH CENTURY, the standing figure of Christ wearing long flowing shades of red toned robes with gilt thread border and finely detailed bearded face and hair wearing the crown of thorns while gazing heavenward and holding a reed mounted on a gilt bullion mandorla, on a black ground gold woven damask ground with grape clusters and wheat sheaves stumpwork details.
