Biography

Domergue first exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais in 1906 at the age of 17. In 1908 he obtained an honourable mention and in 1920 he was awarded a gold medal.
In 1944 Domergue was the winner of the Prix Puvis de Chavannes awarded by the officers of the National Society of Arts, Paris.
Jean-Gabriel Domergue, French bornæis anæexquisite painter of portraits, dancers, beauties, parks, Paris, theatre, costumes, and theæcircus. He is especially known for his nudes.
