Description: Antique Russian portable icon made for a traveler, consisting of 3 miniature gold tempera paintings on wood board encased in a folding brass alloy case. The paintings are of the highest old master quality with extra-ordinary rendition of small details. Each painting has gilded frame and are in excellent condition with some cracquelure present expected for the age of the paintings. The subjects from life of Jesus represented are: baptism, ascension, and the presentation to the temple. Size of each painting is: 3.5" X 2.8" (9 X 7 cm.).
Condition: Excellent for its age. No damages
