Description: 16th.-17th. century ivory carving of a Boddhisattva with 9 serpents (naga)shield above the head. This is a very intricate, early Indian ivory carving and as such, very rare!. There is a strong possibility that this is a Khmer carving. Dimensions: 2.3 X 1.2" (6 cm. X 3 cm.). Estimated market value: $9000.
Condition: Excellent for its age.
