Description: 19th. century Japanese vase, circa 1826 signed on the bottom with 4 characters, Yoshidaya. 2 large side panels feature a shishi lion, in between, 2 roundels with phoenix bird. The neck is elongated with imperial yellow enamel background and with floral decorations and some Buddhist accomplishments decorations. Yoshidaya kiln operated in the district Daishoji-Han only for 5 years (1826-1831) and is very rare. Intact and not seen on the collectors market Japanese Edo period porcelain!. Dimensions: length: 16 inches, width: 6.5 inches. Estimated value: $6.000.
