18th. century Tibetan box with hand paintings

Description: Antique Tibetan wood box covered with yak skin painted with polychrome zoomorphic decorations featuring a lion. Length: 10" (25.5 cm.), width: 10" (25.5 cm.), height: 10" (25.5 cm.). There are no hinges and the lid is attached to the trunk through 2 large metal rings. Also no nails were used and the box is held together by metal hinges that connect 2 facets. Estimated value: $6800.
Condition: Excellent for the age
