Description: Antique Japanese wooden boat built without nails and bound together with jute string bindings and special knots. It has an A frame cover over the cabin. The wood appears to be very old, but without rot, probably hinoki wood. We believe that this boat dates to 16th.-18th. century and as such, is extremely rare as a survivor. Length: 16.5" (42 cm.). Cover length: 9" (23 cm.). Height without cover: 5" (13 cm.).
