Description: 19th. century hexagonal brush container decorated with inlaid polychrome mother of pearl with floral design. There are no nails or glue used, rather brass plaques located in the upper and lower angles uniting the facets. This is a prized scholar's object used to store the calligraphy brushes. Size: 8" X 7" (20 X 18 cm.). A matched pair is available (the cost for the pair is $2800.
