Antique Tapestry Remnants from a Louis XVI Style Canape Two French Tapestry Fragments from a Louis XVI Style Canape (French Sofa) Good Antique Condition _Minor pulls; Needs cleaning- Late 1800ÍsThese two beautiful tapestry panel fragments were originally custom woven for a specific Louis XVI Style canap_. Three panels were for the interior back of the canap_„a long center panel with two side panels. The two side panels have sold. The seat was in one long section with an attached cushion construction. The tapestry theme is a stylized verdure with scrolling vines, flowers and chateaux in the distance.These hard to find tapestry panel fragments could be used for upholstering a settee or for making wonderful cushions or pillows.Center Panel: H=28, L=55, Seat Panel: H=36, L=77
