French caned settee late 19th C hand carved

Wonderful late 19th century French double caned back settee in antique cream with bits of the wood beneath showing. Has rounded sides and arms. Multiple hand carvings on the center back upper and lower, two back supports, center deep apron,arms,and all four knees. Stands on short cabriole legs with escargot feet. The front cane has a small hole center back,a little bigger on the back can which happened in the container coming from France. See photos.The remainder of cane taut and sturdy and could be repaired if desired yet most people just have the back well padded,reinforced with webbing,etc. and upholstered to match the seat. Settee otherwise very sturdy and in excellent condition. Measures 44L X 39H X 21D. Seat would be upholstered to approximately 19 inches from floor.
