Bisque Figures over Bronze Base LampH=29, W=20Antique French, Louis XVI/Directoire Style, Bisque Statuary Made into a Lamp at a Later Date- Three Maidens Dancing Around A Classical Urn on Pedestal with Lion Face and Quiver Motif; Finely Chased and Incised Bronze Plate on Urn, (Supporting 3 Arms - European Wired) Double Stepped out Base, and Three Flattened Bun Feet -Fair Antique Condition _ Bisque needs restoration in places _ (priced accordingly) Pleated French Lampshade in White- Statuary is Circa 1900This beautifully cast antique French bisque lamp is a delight to see. There are three dancing maidens, garlanded with rose petals who are dancing around a Louis XVI style fluted column with Doric capital on a square pedestal base. The front of the pedestal bears a lionÍs face plaque; and, the fluted column has garlands of roses surrounding it with a quiver trophy and a festoon of roses hanging from it, designating love. On top of the Doric capital is a finely chased and incised bronze urn. There are three arms for light bulbs, and an adjustable center post for varying the height of the lampshade. At the base of the lamp is a stepped out finely chased and incised bronze plate base resting upon three flattened bun feet.
