This is a whimsical French bisque putti seated upon a wine keg eating grapes. The fire glazed ceramic base is rimmed in pale gold.It is in very good condition, and would make a great piece for the wine room or any accessory in any decor. French Small Regence Style Fruitwood Buffet from the North of France _ Very Good Antique Condition _ Two back panels have been replaced at some point in its history _ Very minor nicks and rubs to wood commensurate with age _ Late 1700ÍsThis rare, small, 18th C. French Regence style fruitwood buffet has two symmetrically ornamented front doors with conforming raised panels bearing a marquetry star in the center. The center dormante has fluted ornamentation as well as the rounded corners. The sides have raised panels and the apron is scalloped with a simple center shell. The front legs are cabriole adorned with a shell at the knee with unusual pawed feet at the front and gently curved back legs.Simplistic and elegant in style, this 18th C. French 2-door buffet would blend well with any style.H=27, Base: W=17, D=12 1/2
