18th Century French Iron Cremailliere

This is a hand forged antique 'cremailliere' from France. These used to hang in the fireplace of a home, and its purpose was to heat your food over the fire. This example is from the 1700's and is beautifully adorned with several iron Fleur de Lys'. Today it would make an excellent fireplace or kitchen accessory. Max Height (when hanging)=71, Max Width=38; Lower portion can be adjusted to decrease height.
