Description

Handsome masculine wooden arched tantalus with inlaid copper front,top and sides covers several masculine interests depicting a centuries old sailing vessel with multiple sails on top and center front from England C.1880. The copper is covered with a protective covering and outlined with decorative trim. Metal hoop handles on either side as well as front latch and hinges. Scalloped apron and carved feet. Lined in wine colored suede fabric. Two weighted crystal English decanters in frosted etching depict pheasants on the front,spruce evergreen trees on the side and hunter with gun amidst spruce evergreen trees on the side and hunter with gun amidst spruce on the back shown in 4 arched panels with mitered edges. The 6 pheasant cranberry glasses are embellished with cream flying duck on either side with the river below and clumps of cattails growing along the rivers edge. Complete set in excellent condition,no nicks,chips or cracks. Glasses measure 5H X 2.5W decanters 10.5H X 3 5/8W X 3.58 D,box is 13.25 H x 12 L x 8.5W. Sure to appeal to the masculine side whatever their sporting interest.
