Very handsome hand carved French mid 19th century center table of walnut. Designed with one drawer at the more narrow end so that can be used between two chairs or long ways along a wall or out in a room.No hardware,pulled out with finger hold under the oyster shell. Gorgeous carving on all four sides of oyster shell in the center of each apron surrounded by leaf carvings on either side. Additional acanthus leaf carvings on all knees. Wonderful scrolled stretcher bars connecting to a very attractive large carved finial in the center. Scribed top with high cabriole legs and escargot feet. Can be used in any room. Excellent condition and workmanship. Measures 28.75H X 35.5L X 21.5D.
