Set of 4 black and white French 19th century military plates are signed on the back of each "Louis Lebeuf Montreaul" in black script writing. Beautiful black and white floral surrounds each scene outlined with a tulip border. The set includes,"La Conversation","Y dit que vous avez une Jambe de bois de naissance","Le Misantrope On peut me'priser souverainement l'espece humaine mais cracher sur les vandanges! janais","Quoique Fautive J'aie encore mieux'etre saoui que d'etrebe'te,ga dure moins longteins". All in excellent condition with no nicks,chips or cracks. Two plates are slightly darker on the back only. Make a wonderful wall hanging when not in use. Measure 8L X 8W X 1H each.
