Unique late 1700's-early 1800's hand painted French cherub cabinet in cream and French blue. Original brass hardware hinges,dual latches on left door and lock with new key and tassel. Made of thick walnut,see the horizontal walnut back slats. Two raised panel doors with flying painted cherubs on each. Grape vines painted on each narrow panel on sides with bunches of purple grapes. Interior offers two roomy compartments,one shelf for housing all sorts of treasures. Stands on large ball solid feet. Wonderful compliment to a desk,making a secretary or for use on any chest,buffet or counter. Could also be hung but no indication was used this way. Wonderful aging to the patina with tiny bits of the walnut showing beneath. Measures 22.5H X 32L X 8.5D. Excellent craftsmanship. Heavy weight but could be shipped via Federal Express with your zip code.
