Gorgeous French custom made twin bed from the 19th century has L shaped metal brackets for the regular sized mattress to lay on,all bed bolts are included as well. One of a pair,this one would have been for the left wall of a bedroom as the headboard foot and column on side of headboard is rounded with gilt painting,the other side flat for against the wall. Only a note as to the quality of the piece,could be used on either side of a room.The feet were also made to go flush with the back wall. Have only this one for sale.Hand made of mahogany with a rich black background and hand painted in beautiful tones in the floral of white,rose,red and yellow roses,blue and white other floral with green leaves with intricate gilt design above and on the sides which appears to have gilt dripping at the ends.Matching footboard with addition of purple tulips,blue iris,forget me knots and lily of the valley and matching gilt rope. The side rails are painted as well in a more petite scale with gilt on both ends.Expert craftsmanship and artistry in excellent condition.Headboard is 44L X 44.5H X 2D,Footboard 42L X 21.75H X 2D,Rails 74.25L each.
