French Towel Rack C.1850 Walnut Hand Carved Large

Handsome French hand carved towel rack or holder,wall mounted,from C.1850 or earlier. Few minute worm holes on center pedestal due to this early age. Reeded thick curved sides with matching spindle tops and solid center below. Pedestal with three projections,the last a brass flower. Back tiered plate in medallion shape has metal plate in the back with hole for screw or large nail in the center for attachment. Excellent condition,sturdy enough for the largest of towels. Measures 16.75L X 9H X 6.5H projection.
