In cobalt glaze with high relief gilt decorations, having a large scrolled gilt handle, and hand painted musical genre and floral cartouches. Raised on a circular gilt trimmed foot. Blue crossed swords mark to underside. 17.5"H

The ewer appears to have had an earlier profession repair to the handle. There are no obvious chips, nicks or scratches to the painted panels, rims or gilt decoration. The gilt painted base has minor rub marks in one area.The painted panels show no signs of inpainting. Overall, cobalt background, gilt decoration and hand painting appear to be in near perfect condition.
