A Pair Of Cloisonné Bowls

A pair of identical early Chinese cloisonné bowls, possibly 17th century. Each bowl is decorated on both sides with a variety of different patterns and colors. They were found with a coat of a shellac like covering, which gives the surface a sepia like tinge. We have not attempted to remove this surface. The bowls measure 15 1/2" in diameter and 5" in height.
