Bearded soldiers with sabers are attacking the church and cutting down people in the churchyard. There are corpses floating in the river. One report says that the local governor was attempting to enforce an order by the Czar to tear the church down. The citizens defended the church and six were driven into the river, where they drowned. Another story says that nine people were killed and fifty wounded.
