Woodsman's Pal in its original stamped metal scabbard and original paper manufacturer's label still on the ricasso. A spurious tag wired to the "D-Guard" reads: "Used in the building of the Panama Canal. Given to me by Sven Hammorsford". Patent number 2335497 dates this to 1943. Probably used by Army and Marines and likely in the South Pacific.
