Panorama Photo, WWI, Military company picture. Very early panorama photo of the 27th Balloon Co A.S.S.C. from Waco Texas by Wasson Photo, Bay City MI.

Mangan III of Fairfield, CT Photo Size: H. 7.25" x L. 41.75" Frame Size: H. 8.75" x L. 43.5" x D. .75" Weight: 4lbs 4oz Condition: very good *********************************************************** The 27th Balloon Company was formed at Rich Field in Waco Texas in February 1918. The Company was moved to Virginia for deployment with the AEF to serve in France. They however did not go to France, and were demobilized in December 1918. They were re-organized at Ft. Omaha in June of 1919 and were given moving orders to Kindley Field, which was in the Philippines, and the 27th Balloon arrived at Kindley Field at Fort Mills, Corrigador Philippines in April 1920. The 27th Balloon Spent their time training, with artillery and other units. They returned to the US, and were demobilized permanently in January of 1922.
