Suit of Armor, 19th c. Similar to an example in L'Arte dell' Armitura in Italia fig 220-2. Constructed as a complete suit with etched panels, closed, hinged helmet, the entire suit riveted with brass. Full bodied support is provided by muslin covered straw formed as a man. Wood plank from the base to the helmet insures stability and feet are fastened to the base as well. For additional images visit LouisJDianni.com

Condition: Very good, recently cleaned, missing some parts of finger on one hand, other very minor flaws.
Inclusive of this set are:
1. Sabatons consist of brass riveted iron plates in four panels
2. Greaves for the calf and ankles
3. Poleyns for the knee cap
4. Cuisses for the thigh
5. Besagues which were small round 'shields' laced to the mail at the shoulder to defend the armpit
6. Rerebrace for the defence of the upper arm
7. Vambrace for the defence of the lower arm
8. Hand Armor - The Knights gloves were called Gauntlets and had ringed metal plates over the fingers
9. Breast Plate
10. Backplate
11. Faulds were rings of armour which were attached to the breast plate and protected the hips, abdomen and lower back
12. Helmet
