Saber, Model-1860 Cavalry Sword, Horstmann, Philadelphia. US MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER/SWORD WITH SCABBARD, (HORSTMANN`S PHILADELPHIA) is in Excellent Condition. This US M-1860 Sword includes a 35" curved blade that is well marked with a maker of HORSTMANN`S PHILA. to the ricasso. Blade has honest wear with nice patina. The brass hilt is solid and tight with a leather wrapped grip and twisted wire binding. The nickel finish steel scabbard is original military and complete with a tight fit. A classic cavalry weapon.
