WWII U.S. Navy Battleship "Powder Monkey Knife" in the clip point Bowie style. Shipboard made of non-sparking materials. Rare knife used for cutting open the bags of gun powder during the gun turret loading process. "Powder Monkey Knives" were always made of non-sparking materials because an accidental spark from a steel blade could set off a huge explosion during the loading process. This massive militaria specimen has a bronze blade and a massive aluminum handle.
