Nautical Aquatint depicting the steam yacht "Victory" in two views with the text: "To His Most gracious Majesty, King George The Fourth, the Illustrious Patron of Steam Packets". Further identified London published Sept. 15th, 1821 by John Hudson, 85 Cheapside. Printed along the bottom: " The Land view represnts Margate._The Packets view The Victory Steam Yacht, Capt. Corbin, built under the direction of Geo. Dodd Esq., Civil Engineer, the Founder of the Steam Packets to Margate, Gravesend and Richmond, and who commanded the first Steam Yacht which crossed the Irish Channel, and entered Dublin Harbour. Also at the bottom are two interesting interior views of the yacht and passengers leisurely enjoying their journey. Well presented in a 19th century bird's eye maple frame with gilt liner and modern conservation mat with gold liner, museum glass.
