Lacquered brass paperweight with nautical motifs of a four-fluked anchor below a ship's wheel, capstan, banded stock and terminating in a loop. The bottom has the original material and the overall piece retains the original lacquer. Late 19th century.

Condition: Excellent except for a screw in finial top, bottom velvet worn and tiny splits.
