Confederate Civil War Bonds, Beautiful $1000 bond certificate from the Confederate States of America issued in March 1864. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of Confederate Seal - Soldier on Horseback. Printed by J. Archer, of Richmond, Virginia. This item is hand signed by Apperson for the Register of the Treasury, and is over 146 years old. 59 unused coupons attached on bottom, with one missing at bottom right. Department stamp with Palmetto Tree logo on reverse.
