Large Alaskan Native American Eskimo Inuit Soap Stone Sculpture of Seal. "Flipper" is an older and well patinated carving of the late 19th- early 20th C. Signed on the bottom with indecipherable runic lettering typical of the pre-tourist indigenous pieces.
Size: 13.5" x 7"
Weight: 15lbs
Condition: very good, glue residue from tape, on the bottom is a colored putty type plug 1/4" diameter to cover an imperfection in the stone.
