Native American Indian Rifle Scabbard, beaded, Plains or Crow Indians, late 19th c. Sinew sewn, with red trade cloth on bottom area with fringe and beadwork. Crosses and triangles decorate the bottom ring, with a similar pattern on the top with red trade cloth and beaded crosses. Fringed at top and bottom. Small hide repair sewn up in middle area about 1" long.
Provenance: Miki and James J. Mangan III of Fairfield, CT Size: 43" L x 8" W Weight: 1lb Condition: very good, with one small sewn repair in hide. Condition reportvery good, with one small sewn repair in hide.
