Native American Indian Drum, Cheyenne, Warrior Period, Wounded Horse. Circular Cheyenne Indian drum having a pigment decorated portrait of a horse with horseshoe decoration in red. A powerful and unforgettable image, recounting the story of a wounded warrior's horse, various other markings on front and initials on backside. Constructed from a cheese box top with hide covering and is typical of the 'use what is available mind set' of the Native American Indian, with hide covering, sounds crisp when tapped.
