TLS, 1p, 7"x9", Albany, Sep 2, 1932. On his Executive Mansion letterhead to Mayor of Vancouver, British Columbia, L. D. Taylor. In full, "Have just acknowledged an invitation from your Board of Trade to visit Vancouver, and would like to express to you my sincere regret that I am compelled to decline it. Personally your invitation has a strong appeal, as I would like very much to spend a little time in your city. I also feel that it would be very helpful to me were it possible for me to pay you a visit and get better acquainted with some of our next-door neighbors. The itinerary finally arranged for my western trip make it impossible for me to accept your invitation, as much as I personally desire to..." Boldly signed. General light toning; else Fine. Nicely matted beside a 2¾"x4¼" b/w reproduced engraved print. Contained within a simple wood frame. Overall 16½"x13¼".
