![]() The sofabed from John and Yoko's 'Special Room' at the Hit Factory, New York and seen in one of his last ever publicity photographs The 'Special Room' was created at the studio by Yoko to simulate their Dakota apartment during the recording of Lennon's final albums Double Fantasy & Milk & Honey, this cream coloured sofabed forming the centrepiece. It was on this sofa that John and Yoko sat for one of their final publicity photographs. Estimate on request. This sold was sold directly by Yoko Ono at Sotheby's in 1984 to raise money for the Spirit Foundation. Accompanied by a fantastically touching facsimile letter regarding the sofa from Yoko Ono describing the piano.
