WILLIAM MOORE ENGLISH PERCUSSION SHOTGUN A double barrel percussion gun of quality. Manufactured in England C1840. Side by side laminated steel barrels, heavily proof marked to the underside. Walnut stock with checkered grip (some scratches). Lock plates with "William Moore". Approx 85% over all. William Moore was one of the top makers of London, originally employed by Joseph Manton, he established himself as a maker in 1808. In 1836 he was appointed Gun Maker to the King (William IV). Size: 18mm ball
