A SPANISH COB COIN FROM THE 1600'S

Measures: 1.7" Tall x 1" Wide. Metal: 14kt Gold and Sterling Silver. Coin: Spanish 4 Reale "Cob" Coin. Pendant features a Spanish 4 Reale coin minted under the reign of Philip III (circa 1600). The front of the coin features a well-defined cross on the shield of Castile and Leon, while the reverse shows portions of the coat of arms of the House of Habsburg. Spanish coinage was so recognized for its purity it circulated throughout the world. Merchants in the American colonies recognized the intrinsic silver in these coins and accepted them gladly for goods and services. Set in a custom frame of 14kt gold and sterling silver. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity and descriptive brochure about this historical coin.
